Today our school celebrated the Peace Day. In fact, this International
Day is this Friday, but we took advantage of the Colegio de El Cairo´s visit
to celebrate this important date with them.
Hoy
nuestro colegio ha celebrado el Día de la Paz. En realidad, el día internacional
de la paz es este viernes, pero hemos aprovechado la visita del Colegio de El Cairo para celebrar esta importante fecha con ellos.
Last Saturday we participated with them, with the Liceo Italiano, and also
with Santamarca in a public act for the Peace that took place in Berlin´s Park.
And Today, Preschool children attended to a simple celebration in the Primary playground.
El
pasado sábado participamos con ellos, con el Colegio Italiano, y también con
Santamarca en un acto público que tuvo lugar en el Parque de Berlin. Y hoy, los
niños de Infantil hemos participado en una simple celebración en el patio de Primaria.
We wanted to be aware of what this is all about before the celebration, so last week we were working in the classroom the peace and war theme showing
different images and contrasting them. We had several chats discussing what the
peace and the war mean for us and all of we agreed that we prefer the peace. So,
to practice our abilities related to peaceful coexistence, we worked together
to decorate the school with our murals.
Queríamos ser conscientes de que trata todo esto antes de la celebración, así que la semana pasada estuvimos trabajando en clase el tema de la paz y la Guerra enseñando
diferentes imágenes y contrastándolas. Hemos tenido varias conversaciones
tratando que significan para nosotros y todo hemos coincidido en que preferimos
la paz. Así que, para practicar nuestras habilidades relacionadas con la
convivencia pacífica, hemos trabajado juntos para decorar el colegio con
nuestros murales.
We also learnt different ways to represent the peace: with the hands,
with a white dove and also with the international symbol… Did you know
that is the dove´s footprint?
También
hemos trabajado diferentes maneras de representar la paz: con las manos, con la paloma blanca y también con el símbolo internacional… ¿Sabíais que es la huella
de la pata de una paloma? Nosotros lo hemos aprendido haciendo nuestros collares de la paz y nuestros trabajos.
With all this work we want to highlight the importance of the PEACE. And rebember…

todo este trabajo queremos resaltar la importancia de la PAZ. Y
recordad: “La PAZ ilumina el camino”
The five years old
children had learnt the parts of the house this month, so this week Kassi taught
us new vocabulary about the furniture. We “built” our own house and we furnished
it with beautiful drawings of sofas, beds, lamps, fridges, baths… You have to
admit that our pieces of furniture are cooler than the Ikea´s ones!
