Meeting Jack and review

Three years old children were asking ourselves what was inside that mysterious treasure chest in the classroom. This week we have discovered. We could hear some strange noise from the inside… someone was sleeping! Our teacher told us to open it very carefully, and… what a surprise! A pirate parrot came out! His name it´s Jack, and he is going to teach us a lot of things this year. He has also three more friends: Dani, Katie and Fluffy the cat. Together we sang their Hello! Song and learnt who is a boy and a girl.

Los niños de tres años nos preguntábamos que había dentro de ese misterioso cofre del tesoro de clase. Esta semana lo hemos descubierto. Podíamos oír un extraño sonido desde dentro… ¡Alguien estaba dormido! Nuestra profe nos pidió que lo abriésemos con cuidado, y… ¡menuda sorpresa! ¡Un loro pirata salió fuera! Su nombre es Jack y nos va a enseñar muchas cosas en este curso. Además, tiene otros tres amigos: Dani, Katie y Fluffy el gato. Juntos cantamos su canción de saludo y aprendimos quien es chico y chica.

Five and four years old children, before starting the didactic units we are reviewing all that we learnt last year: the days of the week, the weather, the seasons, identify the colours, counting… We are using the flashcards, playing interactive games with the smart board, singing and dancing songs… In a few days we will be ready to start the first unit!

Los niños de cinco y cuatro años, antes de empezar las unidades didácticas, estamos revisando todo lo que aprendimos el año pasado: los días de la semana, el tiempo, las estaciones, identificar los colores, conteo, el vocabulario… Estamos usando los bits de inteligencia, juegos interactivos en la pizarra digital, cantando y bailando canciones… ¡En pocos días estaremos preparados para empezar con la primera unidad!

Bye, bye summer!

Today we say bye, bye to the summer. Last days we were talking about our summer holidays and where we travelled with our families. Some of us were lucky enough to go to the beach, but the rest enjoyed the countryside and the city. Anyway, we had a great time so we wanted to make a draw about it, after learning the proper vocabulary about the holidays.

Hoy decimos adiós al verano. En los últimos días hemos estado hablando sobre nuestras vacaciones veraniegas y a dónde hemos viajado con nuestras familias. Algunos de nosotros han sido afortunados y han ido a la playa, pero el resto hemos disfrutado de la ciudad y del campo. En cualquier caso, lo hemos pasado genial, así que hemos querido hacer un dibujo sobre ello tras repasar el vocabulario adecuado sobre las vacaciones.

Hello new kids!!!

These days 3 years-old kids are learning to say “Hello!” and “Bye, bye!”  to our teacher and new friends. We win a sticker every time we say it right! We also are learning to say our name and dance copying the teacher´s gestures.

Estos días los peques de tres años estamos a prendiendo a decir “Hello!” y “Bye, bye!” a nuestra profe de inglés y a nuestros nuevos amigos. ¡Ganamos una pegatina como premio  cada vez que lo hacemos bien! Además, estamos aprendiendo a decir nuestro nombre y a bailar copiando los gestos de la profe.

Although this is our main target for this week, María has also introduced us the days of the week, the weather, the colours and the numbers. There are a lot of new words to learn, step by step! J

Aunque este es el principal objetivo para esta semana, María también nos ha presentado los días de la semana, el tiempo, los colores y los números. ¡Hay un montón de palabras nuevas que aprender, poco a poco! J
