Welcome, Kassi!!!

Yesterday the five years old children had a nice surprise; we met a new native teacher called Kassi. We have seen her before with our one year older friends, and we were looking forward to working with her.

As it was the first day, we introduced ourselves and she asked our names with the song that we had been practicing with our teacher María.

Later, Kassi told us where is she from: United States. We could appreciate in the map that it is really far from here. Also, she showed us the flag and other interesting issues such as the coin, or a video about her country. Here you have it:

After this, she red us a book about a crazy old lady that swallowed a fly.

Kassi will be with us every week, so you will get used to see her on our blog too.

Autumn resources

Here you have some autumn resources to continue learning and playing about this topic at home. Please, if you want to find more resources, visit those that we practiced last year in October.

Look... it´s autumn!!!

Look around and you will find that something it´s different… autumn is here! The weather is colder and sometimes the wind blows. Also the leaves are changing their colour and soon they will start to fall down.

We have a tree in our classroom English Corner that we have decorated with autumn issues. Playing games in which we have to performance the autumn leaves, mushrooms, squirrels, etc., singing songs and decorating our tree we have learnt new vocabulary related with this season.

Meeting Jack and review

Three years old children were asking ourselves what was inside that mysterious treasure chest in the classroom. This week we have discovered. We could hear some strange noise from the inside… someone was sleeping! Our teacher told us to open it very carefully, and… what a surprise! A pirate parrot came out! His name it´s Jack, and he is going to teach us a lot of things this year. He has also three more friends: Dani, Katie and Fluffy the cat. Together we sang their Hello! Song and learnt who is a boy and a girl.

Five and four years old children, before starting the didactic units we are reviewing all that we learnt last year: the days of the week, the weather, the seasons, identify the colours, counting… We are using the flashcards, playing interactive games with the smart board, singing and dancing songs… In a few days we will be ready to start the first unit!

Bye, bye summer!

Today we say bye, bye to the summer. Last days we were talking about our summer holidays and where we travelled with our families. Some of us were lucky enough to go to the beach, but the rest enjoyed the countryside and the city. Anyway, we had a great time so we wanted to make a draw about it, after learning the proper vocabulary about the holidays.

Here you some drawings! / ¡Aquí tenéis algunos dibujos!
