Last Thursday we celebrated in our classrooms a
traditional and important festivity in USA: Thanksgiving Day. The previous days
we were studying its history and how people celebrate it at their homes.
El
pasado jueves celebramos en nuestras clases una tradicional e importante
fiesta en EEUU: EL Día de Acción de Gracias. Los días anteriores estuvimos
estudiando su historia y cómo lo celebra la gente en sus hogares.

We have also made some handicrafts; the youngest made
some necklaces colouring a funny turkey.

hemos hecho manualidades; los más jóvenes hicimos unos collares coloreando un
gracioso pavo.
The four years old children have made the pilgrims´
hats and the Indians’ feathers to look like them:

On Thanksgiving Day we all said thank you to God for
all the blessings that we have in our lives. The three years old children stomp
their hands on a beautiful mural:
El
día de Acción de Gracias todos dimos gracias a Dios por las bendiciones que
tenemos en nuestras vidas. Los de tres años estamparon su mano en un bonito
mural:
The four years ones made drew that for which they were
grateful (family, friends, school, toys…) and put the drawing inside the “turkey
bank”.
Los
de cuatro dibujaron aquello por lo que estaban agradecidos (por la familia,
amigos, el cole, los juguetes…) y lo metieron dentro del “pavo hucha”.
Los
de cinco años hicieron lo mismo pero pegaron sus dibujos en el barco Mayflower:
It was a nice way of knowing better the American
traditions and to be aware of how lucky we are and how many blessings we have
in our lives. So remember that you should be grateful for them!
Fue
una buena forma de conocer mejor las tradiciones americanas y de ser
conscientes de cuánta suerte tenemos por la cantidad de bendiciones que hay en
nuestras vidas. ¡Así que recuerda que deberías estar agradecido por ellas!
